Upon arrival to Cairo, you will start your full-day tour with the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization. The NMEC’s foundation stone was laid in 2002. It was inaugurated in 2021. the NMEC is located on the archaeological site of El-Fustat in Old Cairo, overlooking the Ain El-Seera Lake. The Museum was designed by Egyptian architect El Ghazzali Kosseiba. The exhibition spaces are being designed by Japanese architect Arata Isozaki. the NMEC will be the first museum to be devoted to the entirety of Egyptian civilization.
The Museum has a spacious building surrounded by a beautiful lake and garden on one side and an archeological site on another. The ground floor is dedicated to the mummies hall, where each mummy is located in a separate room with its sarcophagus, the artifacts found in the tomb. Also, the Museum has artifacts from all the historical timelines starting from the predynastic era till 1953.

After we finish our visit to the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, we will complete our tour of Cairo attractions. Your tour will include the visit to the church of St. Sergius (Abu Serga) where you will see the place where the Virgin Mary and her son rested during their trip to Egypt, then you will visit Amr ibn El Ass Mosque, the oldest mosque in Egypt.

After lunch, you will visit the great pyramids of Giza and the Great Sphinx with the valley temple. You will start your tour with the oldest of the seven wonders of the ancient world, the Pyramid of Khufu or the Pyramid of Cheops. (Entry ticket is extra charge 900 L.E).

Khafre's pyramid was constructed and completed in 2570 BC; it looks larger than the Khufu Pyramid because it was built on an elevated location. in fact, it is smaller in both height and volume. Khafre's pyramid is the only one that still retains a part of casing stones at its apex

From the panorama, you can get a great shot of the entire complex. You can also hop a camel from this point and ride to a backside vantage point of the Queen’s Pyramids and see 9 pyramids as a background.

End your tour at Giza Pyramids with the great Sphinx and the valley temple of the king Khafre or Chephren and listen to their stories from your guide and do not forget to take some amazing photos with the sphinx.
