Transfer from your hotel to El Gouna bus station to take the deluxe bus at 02.30 am to Cairo. Upon arrival, you will start your tour to Cairo attractions like the Egyptian Museum, Giza Pyramids, and the great sphinx. You will enjoy your lunch in a pyramid's view restaurant.

Egyptian Museum

Enjoy between 2-3 hours in the Egyptian Museum, the home of about 120 000 artifacts of ancient Egyptian antiquities. The Museum houses the world’s largest collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts including Mummies, sarcophagi, statues, pottery, jewelry, eating bowls, toys, and of course King Tutankhamen's treasures.

Most of the treasures are still on display, although some are being moved to the Grand Egyptian Museum near the pyramids. The Museum is divided into two floors, the ground floor where you can follow Egyptian history from the Old Kingdom to the Greco-Roman era.

Second floor for the treasures of the boy king Tutankhamen where you can admire his golden mask, the inner sarcophagus of 115 kg of gold, his beds, Canopic jars, trumpet, and much more pieces. Also on the second floor, you can visit the Mummies' room with most of the New Kingdom kings. Yuya and Tuya treasures and the animal's mummies.

Giza Pyramids

The next stop will be the Giza Pyramids where you will be face to face with one of the old seven wonders, the Great Pyramids of Cheops. Spend as much as you like in front of the Great Pyramid, climb to the entrance then walk around it. You can enter the queen Pyramid (free of charge) and then walk to Khafre Pyramid, the second one. The Sphinx is the largest single sculpted statue in the world, carved from the limestone of the bedrock of the Giza plateau. It measures 20 meters high and 73 meters long and 19 meters wide. The Sphinx represents most probably king Khafre like a lion's body and the head of the king himself.

The Catacomb The many ways of death

29th September 1900 while a donkey was hauling a cart, his leg disappeared in a hole in the ground and it was the Catacomb. It is the largest Roman cemetery in Alexandria and was one of the seven wonders of the Middle ages. The Catacomb of Kom El Shoqafa dates back to the 2nd century AD and it was the burial place for about 200 years. The visit is a nice chance to know about the funerary practices in that era when Egypt was a mix of artistic elements of the Hellenistic and the Roman culture, and the Pharaonic one.

Pompey's Pillar

Then you will proceed to visit Pompey's Pillar, the red granite column which is 28 meters high, the largest monolith column. from an inscription in Greek written on the column we know it was not for Pompey as the Crusaders believe but was erected like a Memorial column for Diocletian, the Roman emperor.

Qaitbay Citadel

You will drive to the next stop with your guide Qaitbay Citadel (from outside). The Qaitbay Citadel was built on the same site as the ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. This Citadel of Qaitbay was considered one of the most important defensive strongholds for Egypt and the Mediterranean Sea Coast.

The two statues known as Colossi of Memnon were decorating the largest mortuary temple on the west bank of the River Nile. They are 18 meters high and 720 tons each but in 27 BC strong earthquake damaged the statues. The statues show Amenhotep III in a seated position, with his hands resting on his knees, and his faces facing the Nile in the east.
